well, it’s all about me.
it’s nominally about pornokarma. i think i coined this word about five years back, but when i googled i did find one cryptic appearance in a baltic email address. i cobbled together a working definition from the sanskrit and greek roots:
pornokarma [Gk porne:harlot + Skt karman:work]: the force generated by the action of a whore that is held to be the motive power for the cycle of death and rebirth.
whether you accept anything else i say, we’re all whores of one sort or another so we might as well redeem the trade and cop to the truth of it.
this place is also about music and pictures. the photos are usually mine, the music isn’t.
if i do use someone else’s photo i link to the source and try to include attribution in the caption. my stuff is there for anyone who wants it, i post on flickr under an open license (search oracle monkey) so use it freely. i happen to believe in free art along with pornokarma.
the linked music is all right-click-and-cross-your-fingers, depending on what sort of browser you’re using. you should be able to play straight into itunes or download to your desktop. i would recommend the d/l.

in an effort to make friends whom i can later recruit into my urban cult of karmic oblation, i will add that i split time between nyc and new jersey searching out wasted industrial landscapes, DIY performance spaces, and marginal characters. most everything i do is questionable, so ask questions.
